washi tape labels DIY
are you also one of the people that just hates how the conventional labels on folders look like? or have you ever had a box on the top of the shelf and didn’t really know what’s in it?
well, this little DIY is so easy and just looks fabulous!
what you’ll need:
- some old sheet protectors
- your favorite washi tape (if you don’t have any get some washi here)
- scissors
- some paper and pens to make the labels
- awesome music to sing along to while DIY-ing
step1
measure the place where the label is going to be
step 2
cut the sheet protectors to the measured size - minus ca. 1cm – you’ll need that space for the washi tape
so my label should be 6x17cm so I’ll cut 5x16cm out.
step 3
position the cut out on the folder/ box or whatever you need the label for and tape it with washi tape. make sure that half of the washi is on the sheet and half on the folder surface.
if you’re feeling fancy, you can cut the washi in a 45° angle like this
now the only thing left to do is to make your label!
you can cut out the label with a triangle on top - in this way it will be easier to pull it out of the pocket.
and that's it!
happy diy-ing!
