how to make your own notebook bookmark
you’ve got your takkti notebook and are ready to customize it? this is a perfect place to start! and such an easy diy!
as a part of the packaging, we’ve sent you a black ribbon. if you’re interested in recycling the packaging, this ribbon is perfect for your notebook bookmark!
(tip: keep the knots on the ends of the ribbon – it keeps it from unfolding. since it’s a ribbon made out of natural fiber, there is no plastic in it to seal with heat, like you’ve probably seen in other commercial products.)
what you’ll need:
- a takkti notebook cover
- a ribbon
- a washi tape of your choice
step 1
take the notebook out of at least one of the flaps. (the instructions on how to do that are here)
step2
take a washi tape you like (or buy one right here), tear off a piece and stick it on the inside of the notebook spine, over the folded ribbon.
step3
put the notebook back in the flaps - and voila! you’ve got yourself two bookmarks!
tip: if you would like to have more than 2 bookmarks: do you know those annoying ribbons that come on some shirts? (or am I the only one who finds them annoying?) you could cut those off and then repeat step 1 and step 2!
high five for reusing things and throwing away less!
happy diy-ing!
